Meet our founder, Michelle Doan

“It may sound strange that a cosmetic brand wants its customers to look great without makeup, but this mission is 100% true.”

This is exactly what our founder Michelle intends to accomplish, since she spent most of her young adulthood at the dermatologist trying to treat painfull cystic acne. Her journey to creating Emani Cosmetics opened her eyes to the harmful effects of toxic ingredients in cosmetics & changed her skin healing process dramatically. She then wanted to help other people of all ages who also suffered with similar skin issues achieve the same results she did.

By taking cosmetic ingredients into her own hands & working with only clean, cruelty free, vegan ingredients, Michelle has found a kind of empowerment in beauty that she wants all women to experience. Since 1998, it’s been our mission to create a place where women can feel seen, heard & truly beautiful. Through makeup that acts like skincare, we hope to give more women opportunities to feel confident in their own skin.
